Subject: My reading habits

I enjoy using some methods and being in comfortable environments when I read anything. When reading books, I use a pen to mark the keywords and make them look clear. For example, if I read a textbook, I use a highlighter pen to find the keywords or the words I don't know. After all my reading, I look up those words in a dictionary. Therefore I can find where the main point is and some words I don't understand. I always take notes when I read something difficult, too. Next time, I just read my notes, and I can find out the most important information. I also love to read in comfortable environments, so I prefer to use my desk or be in a bookstore. When I read at my desk, I can find the answers in my reference books easily. I also like to study in bookstores. I know some of the bookstores have "Starbucks "coffee shops. I usually find a table and start my reading there. If I sometimes have questions about my homework, I can take some books from bookstores and get the information for free. With some methods and being convenient environments, I can get the main information as much as possible, and I can have fun when I read.

Teachers always tell students to read more to improve their skills. Write about 1 or 2 ways in which reading helps improve your English skills.

When I read more English, I feel that I can improve my English ability in two ways. First, I can learn more new words and understand what people talk about more easily. For example, I talked with my friend on the phone last time, and she asked "Do you want to hang out tomorrow?" I remembered I read the idiom last time in a magazine, so I could comprehend what she talked about. I enjoy reading something causal because you can know a lot of new words in our daily life. When we have conversations with others, we can understand what they want to talk about. That's why we need to read more. Second, when we read more English, we can use right words in our paragraphs or conversations. A lot of words have the same meanings, but it's easy to use them in wrong ways. Take 'circumstance' and 'condition' for example. In my language, we translate the two words in the same meaning, but we use them in different ways in English. When we read more English, we can know when I should use the word. For example, we don't use the sentence like "I want to see TV right now", but we use 'watch TV ' instead of 'see TV'. The more English we read, the more practice we can have. Therefore, we won't use weird words next time. In order to master our English ability, it's necessary to read as more English as we can.
