I am interested to read a book. I usually borrow books in the library. I like to read a short novel. I sometimes like to read a book before I go to sleep. Every time, when I read the entire of book, I always think about a main idea of the book. In my opinion, reading a book step by step helps me to study reading techniques. When I first begin to read a book or story, I usually read quickly. At the moment, I understand a general meaning of that book. For example, I know some main characters of the book, what the book talks about, but not the details. Sometimes, if the story has a lot of characters, I usually write down the main characters of the book on the paper to remember. Sometimes there are so many new words I don't know, so I often translate or explain those words of meaning. Now, it is easy for me to read the book because I don't need to find new words in the dictionary while I read the book. That is the way when I read a book or a story.
Reading a newspaper and watch TV help me to improve my English. For example, when I read newspaper I can improve my vocabulary and spelling. Sometimes, I write new words on a paper to remember. This way I can learn more vocabularies. In other hand, I can learn more spells of words. Newspaper has a lot of difficult words, so reading newspaper usually help me to understand meaning. Watching TV helps me to improve pronunciation. When I watch TV I usually look at the captions. So I can read and hear the same time. Hearing TV helps me to improve my pronunciation. Sometimes I can learn some phrases English. Step by step it's easy for me to understand when I read newspaper and watching TV. I believe that reading the newspaper and watching TV help me to improve my English.
